I think they can't be forgive because the people that died did not have to die. If they had a chance to survive, the people that watched them die are selfish because they want to have their space. I could sit in a lifeboat and not try to help.
Though it was the women and childrens fault for not helping, they may have been forfilling their husband and fathers last request which was to get them to safety. I see how it is bad that the they did not go back but they do deserve a second chance, everyone deserves a second chance and whether you give it to them or not can decide their future.
i get what you mean by the people didnt have to die. i think u should think of how the men who died were more worried about the women and children
